I'm sorry!

I know I haven't posted recently and I'm sorry! I actually recorded a festival hair and makeup video for you, but I don't like it, so I'm going to re-film it sometime this week!

But do you guys want a Festival hair and makeup or just an everyday makeup or a hair tutorial? I don't know which one to do for you guys!

What I got for my birthday / Birthday haul!

Hey guys!

So, yesterday was my 19th birthday (I can't believe I'm 19 already!) and I decided to go shopping. So, this is just a post showing you what I bought, and what I received for my birthday, enjoy!

Ok, one of the first things I got off my parents was a set of owl stationary. Now, if you know me, you'll know I'm OBSESSED with owls! I got a little memo pad with a pen, some magnetic peg clips to hand notes on, and a set of sticky notes! They are all so adorable and I can't wait to start using them!

As well as owls, I am also obsessed with How I Met Your Mother. I got the first 4 series on DVD for Christmas, and then my parents bought me series 5, 6 and 7 on DVD yesterday! Goodbye what is left of my non existent social life, it was nice knowing you!

Ok, because I also got money for my birthday, I decided a shopping trip to Manchester was in order! The first place I went to was Lush. Whilst having a look round, I noticed these and decided to get some. They are Toner Tabs, and you put them in boiling water and let it steam your face, then, when the water is cool, you can bottle it and use it as a toner!

I then went into Primark. In all honesty, I was pretty dissapointed with Primark yesterday, there wasn't really anything in there that I liked... However, I did manage to find this pair of skinny ripped jeans, which I love! I've been in need of a new pair of jeans for ages, and I fell in love with these!

I then went into Superdrug... bad idea when I have money! I originally went in to buy my mum some dry shampoo, and came out with a bag full of items and £17 down! Haha! I'm not going to show everything I bought there, as it was just chewing gum, a drink, and some cotton pads... But I did pick up these two.. Kate Moss lipstick in the shade 101, which is a gorgeous light pink shade, and Tanya Burr nail varnish in Penguin Chic. I love both of these items and I can't wait to wear them!

I then ventured into The Body Shop. Now, I don't usually go in here, but something drew me in yesterday. Whilst having a browse, I noticed these two lip balms. I picked up the Watermelon and Passionberry flavours, as they came in a 2 pack for just £3

I then went to H&M and picked up a belt, as the jeans I was wearing are slightly too big, and walking round constantly pulling them up is not a good look! I also picked up a pack of grips, as mine seem to vanish off the face of the earth the second I put them down!

I then went to HMV to have a 'look around'.. basically, whenever I go to HMV I ALWAYS end up buying something.... This time, it was a CD by a band one of my friends introduced me to. The band are called Front Porch Step, and I have been looking for their CD for ages, and I'm happy I finally found it! If you haven't heard of them, I highly recommend checking them out, they're amazing!

Lastly, I went into Piccadilly Records, and I found a 7" single by a singer I adore called Sivu. I have one of his vinyls already, as he gave it me outside a gig, but I wanted this one ever since he announced it was being released. As of yet, I don't have a record player, but hopefully I will buy one soon so I can listen to them!

Hope you enjoyed this post, and sorry it was so long!

May favourites!

Hey guys!

So, who can believe we're in June already? This year is going crazy quick! However, as we are in June, here are my May favourites for you, enjoy!

First off, I have The Perks Of Being A Wallflower by Stephen Chbosky. I love this book, and was reading it throughout the whole of May! I saw the movie before I read the book, and ever since I saw it, I knew I had to get the book version too! I cried at some of it, laughed at some, and just really felt like I was part of the book. If you have seen the movie, I highly recommend reading the book, you'll love it!

Next up are my beauty favourites.

First off, I have my Maybelline Eyebrow pencil in Soft Brown. I love this eyebrow pencil, and started using it more during May. It isn't too thick and 'gloopy' (I couldn't think of a different word) on my eyebrows, it feels as though there isn't any product on them! It makes them look fuller and thicker, and I just love it!

Next up is one of my new favourute things! My Nyx Color Lip Balm. I recently went on holiday to Malta, and whilst walking round Sliema with my sister, we discovered a Nyx shop! Obviously, we couldn't not go in, and even though it was a small shop, we spent a good 45 minutes just in awe over the products! I ended up buying an eyebrow powder (which I can't find *sad face*) and this lip balm. I have the shade Shukran, which is a very pale pink colout (I forgot to swatch it, sorry!) and it leaves my lips feeling soft, with a hint of a colour. I use this pretty much daily, and I hope to go back to Sliema soon to buy more!

One of my other favourties for May is my tangle tease. I don't have the actual tangle tease, I got this one from the pound shop! However, I love it! It stays in my handbag and goes everywhere with me. I use it all the time and I love it.

One of my most favourite things has been my foundation. I actually bought this because of my sister; her skin always looked so nice, and she told me it was this foundation, so naturally, I bought some! I love the way this foundation looks on my face, as it looks and feels like I'm not wearing any, but still gives me a lot of coverage! It lasts for ages, and unlike most - correction, all - foundations I've used in the past, it doesn't go patchy or orange on my skin.

This next favourite is something I've only started using recently. Its the mascara I got free with Company magazine in March (I think). I didn't like this mascara at first, but as I've used it more, it has become one of my favourites! I use it as a base coat for my normal mascara, and I also use this one on my bottom lashes, as my regular mascara makes them 100x longer than they are, which looks weird!

My final favourite is my Mac eyeshadow. My mum got me this when she went on a college trip to the Mac shop in Nottingham, and I just love it! I have the shade 'Woodwinked' and it is a gold / brown colour with a hint of shimmer. I use this pretty much daily on my lids with my liquid eyeliner on top, and it is a simple look, but compliments any outfit (or so I've found!)

Hope you enjoyed my May favourites, see you soon!

OOTD :)

So I thought I would do a quick ootd whilst waiting to go to my cousins!

So today, I am wearing a long blue muscle tee, which I tucked into my leggings. I think this is from Primark, but I stole it off my mum so I'm not sure! I don't know where my leggings are from, but it's just a simple pair of black leggings, and then my green flannel shirt is also from Primark. I think this was around £12 but I can't remember as I bought it back in October. I am also wearing some black converse and then my jewellery is just an owl necklace from Primark and then a load of bracelets / wristbands I got off friends or at various gigs I've been too.

Also, please excuse the awkward pose, I was putting it on Instagram! (If you want to follow me, feel free! @alice_alanorrr - personal Instagram and @daydreamsandmakebelieves - blog Instagram)

Hope you enjoyed!

REVIEW - MUA Felt Eyeliner

Hey guys, so here is my review of the MUA Felt Eyeliner!

When I saw this in the shop, I just had to pick it up! I had wanted to try a felt eyeliner for ages, after my last purchase of one wasn't so great, and for just £3, how could I not?

When I first tried this eyeliner, I found it didn't go on smoothly at first, and I had to go over the same bit 2/3 times before it made it black, but I figured this was just because it was new.

After a few hours of this being on, I noticed it had transferred onto my crease of my eyelid, which was a shame because I really like this eyeliner.

All in all, the eyeliner doesn't really work for me, as I still have to do 2/3 coats to get it black, so for now, I will stick to my liquid liner. But who knows, I may repurchase this in the future...
Rate; 7/10
