My Summer Essentials!

Hey guys!

So, seeing as though England is in the middle of a heatwave right now, I thought I would show you some of my Summer Essentials, enjoy!

So first off, I have my sunglasses. These are a MUST in this weather, we want to protect our eyes! I bought these ones from Primark for around £2 in December, and I love them, they remind me of the Top Gun style sunglasses!

Next up I have my Tangle Attack. I carry this around with me in summer because if its windy, or you go to the pool/beach, your hair can get knotty and tangled, so its always best to carry around a brush!

Now these will be pretty obvious... Suncream. I am very fair skinned, so I burn so easily (I already have sunburn on my shoulders from being outside for 2 hours yesterday :( ) so I use my Avon suncream in Factor 50, and I also use my Rimmel BB Cream with has an SPF of 15 in it, so I tend to wear this in the summer rather than foundation

Next up id dry shampoo.. I carry this with me because the heat can make your hair limp and lifeless, so I use it to add a bit of life and volume to my hair throughout the day!

Deodorant is always great to carry round with you, no-one wants to be sweaty and stinky during the day, so always use a deodorant or body spray during the day

Hand sanitizer is also good to carry round. I use this after I've had an ice cream, or if I've been at the beach and my hands are sticky and I don't have any wipes on me

Lip balm... this is weird, but my lips go more chapped in the summer than winter... so I always have a lip balm on me to hydrate my lips during the day

Headphones... a must if you're travelling this summer, or just hanging out by the pool or at the beach!

Now I don't know about you, but I suffer with hayfever every summer, so I carry round tissues to wipe my eyes and help with a sniffy nose and whatnot...they're also good to wipe your hands after an ice cream!

Hair ties and bobby pins... I always tend to have my hair up during summer, and I ALWAYS have a hair tie on my wrist, no matter what. They are great if you want to shove your hair up on a hot day, or if you've just been swimming and don't want to get your clothes wet

Lastly, I always carry a bit of change with me, you never know when you might pass a small corner shop and want to get an ice cream or bottle of water in this weather...

Hope you enjoyed this post, and I hope you are all having a lovely summer!

Updated skincare routine!

Hey guys! So I haven't done an everyday skincare routine since about February, and its changed a lot since then so I thought I would do another one, enjoy!

So first off, I start by wiping my face with makeup wipes. I know everyone says this is bad and everything, but I bought them and I just want to use them up instead of throwing away a whole pack...

After I've used the wipes, I then cleanse my face using my Garnier Simply Essentials cleanser to remove any makeup that the wipes didn't

After my cleanser, I use my Boots Eye makeup remover. I'm not a massive fan of this, but it helps get rid of any mascara or eyeliner that didn't come off the first time.

After I've taken off all my makeup, I usually get a shower. When I'm in the shower, I use the next 2 products;

First off, I use my Simple Triple Action face wash. I just wet my face, squeeze a pea size amount onto my hands then rub it over my face and rinse it off. I have found that it helps my skin a lot and leaves it nice and soft afterwards.

After the face wash, I use my Dead Sea Minerals Ultra Intensive Face Mask. I got this at a blogger meetup a few months ago, and honestly, I love it! You put it onto your face like a normal face mask, leave it for a few minutes then rinse off.

Once I get out the shower, I pat my face dry then use my moisturizers.  I have 2 as I use one at night and one in the morning.

I use my Garnier Moisture Match at night, to make my skin soft. I love this moisturizer and I would recommend everyone to get one!

In the mornings I use my Nivea Soft moisturizer to get my skin ready for my makeup and act as a base.

I hope you enjoyed this post and I'll see you soon!

June favourites!

Hey guys! So here are my June favourites for you!

Ok, this first one may seem a little (a lot) weird... but it was my birthday at the start of June, and a week before, I went to a gig with some of my friends and saw a band who I love. Whilst I was there, my friend got them to sign a birthday card for me, and this is the card I got!

All the band members (and a few friends) signed the card for me, and it means a lot to me because I hardly get to see the people who signed it so everytime I felt sad or upset I just looked at the card and it made me happy, so that's why its in my favourites!

Next up is my Summer Love Shadow and Glow palette from Barry M. I got this a few weeks back and have been loving it! The colours are so cute and look amazing when you put them in your crease, especially if you use the blue or pink in the crease with the champagne colour as a base!

Next up is my I Love... Strawberry and Blackberry body mist. I love the smell of this and use it pretty much every day!

I have also been loving my Maybelline Fit Me concealer. I use this on my undereye circles and it is fantastic, a definite must buy for everyone!

I have also been loving my Kate Moss lipstick. I wear this every single day without fail and it smells and tastes so good! I love the colour of it, and I really want to try the rest of them!

My dry shampoo is something I have been using a lot more recently... as I stopped washing my hair every day, and now I wash it every other day, this has been a life saver! I use it to give my hair some life, and after I've been to the gym for a while!

Ok, I am seriously obsessed with hand sanitizers... I don't know why, but I always have to have one with me. Recently, I've been using this one from The Body Shop, and I picked it up for around £2.50

Now this is a weird one too... Its the 'Nail The Habit' from Superdrug. Its a nail biting deterrent, and it basically stops you from biting your nails, and trust me, it works! My nails have been getting a lot longer since I started using it

This is a product I love... its my Tangle Tease which I got from the Pound shop. Its a dupe of the proper tangle tease, and I use it when I get out the shower on my wet hair to stop it from being damaged.

The last thing is An Abundance Of Katherines by John Green. I'm only part way into this book, but I love it! I have read a few of John Green's books, and all of them are amazing! I'm hoping to finish it soon and move onto another of his!

Hope you enjoyed this post, and I'll see you again soon!

Review; Maybelline Color Show nail varnish

(Sorry I haven't been posting, I've had no wifi at home D:)

So, who can believe were in July already?! This year is going by hella fast!

Anyway, I went out shopping today and came across these two nail varnishes by Maybelline. They are the 'Street Artist' in the shade 'Alley Attitude' and the 'Acid Wash' in the shade 'Mint Acid-ittude'. They were £3.99 each, but Superdrug have an offer on of 'buy 2 for the price of 3' on all nail varnishes.

Ok, now onto the review!
I actually adore the way these nail varnishes turned out. Although, they only thing I can find wrong with them is that I had to use 2 coats, as well as use a white base coat (especially for the Mint Acid-ittude as it is super thin!) I love how the Alley Attitude (ring finger) turned out. The mix of black and blue flakes really pop with a white base.

All in all I really do love these nail varnishes, and for £3.99 each, I may have to go back and buy the rest!
